Science … Fiction.
Personal update for our readers: The second book for the Knights of the Flaming Star is in the hands of our editor. The working title is Knight Ascending, we’ll see of it sticks. I’ll keep you updated on the timeline and process.

Relevant to the Space Opera genre; although I never saw the good captain as the one who would point that particular fact out. It is funny how, as writers, we pick and choose which areas of physics to ignore.
Morning coffee from the Percantile and Creamery. Paul and I are in the open back up camp; just be an adult about it and respect other peoples wishes. Don’t be an asshole.
Anyway – we are back out and writing. Finishing up the beta draft of Book 2 of the Knights and hopefully sending it off to the publisher soon.
Cheers!
Stephen King is an Oracle. Yes I capitalized it; we better start paying attention to some of his other stories so the next big thing doesn’t jump up and bite us in the ass.
Paul and I wrote yesterday. Like a lot of people, we worked virtually; collaboration mode/shared screen and conference phone call. We didn’t use zoom, neither of us are easy on the eyes and we know what each other looks like anyway. 😉 The first several hours was great. We hammered out the next Spade Case files outline and talked about another couple of projects — then came Knight Errant book 3 — NOT our best effort. We slammed head first into a large, wide wall. We couldn’t get out of chapter 1; not the writing, just the idea.
Just so you know, book 2 is in the hands of our Alpha reader. When we get it back, we will hammer out the final draft, send it to the Beta readers, make those corrections and then send it off to our publisher.
The second in his Necromancer saga – A Cry of Decay. The book drops soon. I’m travelling and don’t remember exactly when, but as soon as I know or it drops, I’ll let you know.
I posted this on InstaGram already but: You know you have arrived in Vegas when the hotel sends a limo to pick you up at the airport. I’m here for a conference for a few days, then Cheryl and I are off on a walkabout. That’s an old Crocodile Dundee reference, apologies to our younger readers, you’ll have to go look it up. More on that to follow.
First is the obligatory food picture. I was famished after getting off of the plane and needed a bump before dinner later. For those of you who haven’t been out west: first – get out there. Not necessarily here per-se (sp) but just travel this great country, it has so much to offer. Second: and the purpose for this statement is the time change for us east coast people. Three hours makes a difference. Last night, dinner was at 8 pm. That’s 11 pm to us and then people wanted to go out. This morning I woke up at 4 am – again, 7 am my time. The nice thing is you can get out and see things way before the tourists do. I know – I am one, but still….
The other two pictures are just shots up and down the strip, just to say I’ve been here.
