Been on a walk-a-bout with Cheryl out west. So posting has been non-existent. Sorry. Should be back early next week and will catch you all up. Right now we are stuck in Cheyenne. I-80 is closed and I-25 south is dicey. We barely made it through Donner pass yesterday. They got 3 feet of snow last night. For now, here are some pictures from Big Bend NP in Texas.
What a difference a couple of hours make. Same basic shot, just a little later. Leaving for San Antonio today; this morning at 6am to be exact. Here is a shot of the airport terminal at 0530. This is how I like the airport crowds – nonexistent.
So, off to see Cheryl – can’t wait – and let the true walkabout begin. Cheers.
Caesars Palace, early am. Most people will be like – early am partying baby, but no. East coast people are 3 hours ahead. So 4 am is like 7 am to us. This is at 5:30 in the morning. There are still lots of people about – it is Vegas after all – but way fewer than normal. I like it that way. The next two pictures are on the strip, same time.
And here is the Casino at about the same time. The first is the pool and the second is the grand hall. I’ll try to remember to get a picture with it full for perspective.
Following is what you expect from a Trip to Vegas. We had a private dinner up in the Skyfall Lounge in the Delano Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay . The views are unbelievable. Pictures are from my camera phone so the clarity isn’t great, and the room was dark.
Then of course it wouldn’t be Vegas without Elvis and show girls.
I know, I know – I need to do some pushaways and hit the gym. For those of you who don’t know, a pushaway is push away from the table. One more day here and then I fly to San Antonio to finally meet up with Cheryl for our trip to begin. I can’t wait.
