As a small business owner, this rings true. I don’t own a restaurant, but I can’t imagine the challenges. Their margins are so small already. When people hear about business relief, they tend to think about larger businesses that can absorb some of the costs, but this is simply not the case with most small businesses. We know two owners of wine bars – go figure, right – who have had to shut their doors and do not know if they will be able to reopen.

And before I get emails; let me say that we get it. A closed business is little consolation to someone who has lost a loved one. Death is permanent, our economic situation is not. Therefore, stay at home. If not for yourself, for someone you love.
